Art therapy from its social context addresses to : the psychological, educational and artistic, to integrate the immigrant into the new society.
The Art facilitates cultural adaptation and contributes to the opening of dialogue and reasoning; It allows us to move away from mechanized expressions and perceptions, and enables knowledge and emotion for a similar process to the adaptation.
Art allows to change assigned social roles and can help to elaborate a structured and normalized story by thanks to the generated trust . There is an ethical responsibility and previous knowledge that are necessary to develop the therapy with risk groups. Such knowledge would be: therapeutic, communicative, cultural, prejudice of oneself.
MIGRATION AND COMMUNICATION
Communication with others is essential in migrants and refugees. The traumas suffered isolate and alienate them. For this reason, we must try to restore communication and creativity. Mood disorders can affect communication, because they impair the reception of information and the ability to respond; as they can also affect courtesy and nonverbal language. Deficiency in communication can generate social rejection.

Ignorance or deformation of the reality of the new country. - Fear of being returned.
